Woah. Hey, back up, what’s all this James? Come on spill the beans ( haggis). Are they coming on the Scottish tour in May?
https://www.etapelochness.com/event/etape-loch-ness/ 5600 cyclists are using the A82 from Inverness, till 0900. So, I, am using my head.
And his will be empty before yours. We used to wind up the Porsche owning guys we worked with by referring to them (the cars) as Beetle GT’s, it was proper handbags when we rolled that one out.
Set off at 0700 and had the road to myself. After the cyclist jamboree it was a straight run up the side of Loch Ness and through Inverness then down the A96. When I passed the 42 cafe, in Forres, it was empty so I kept going till Cullen, when I stopped for a look round a curiosity shop, that I pass every day and never get to go in. Home and washed the bike That was a cracking little break the 'Road to the Isles is fantastic and so is the road from Skye to Invermoriston. Cant wait for the Scottish Tour next month . Now wheres the dog?
Aye shes grand Andy. Chalk and Cheese from the GT. She gets the adrenaline pumping. a superb bike really, and comfortable. 5 star does not do her justice. This morning I came round a corner out of Skye, trees at the road side, in front of me I saw movement, and the thoughts in my head went something like, "fu3k, whats that ..badger to big.. WTF..Bigfoot no badger WTF WTF " then three more in quick order.
Great report James The road to the isles is one of my favourites too.. once you get past the Glenfinnan Viaduct the road is awesome ..not be long until you do it again!
