Ive the weekend off and the weathers ok, so the dogs going to the kennels and Im going to Skye, in the morning. Booked the ferry from Mallaig to Armadale, then booked a night in Skye and home on Sunday, for w on Monday morning. I checked the bike and cleaned my gear, printed off my tickets and put clean pants in my pocket with a toothbrush. Its four hours to Mallaig, and roughly the same home on Sunday. Ill take some pics,"or it never happened".
Have a great time James,I fancy doing the Quiraing road sometime looks a bit like the Applecross road,i was going to add it onto the Skye loop we will be doing next month but as that day is quite a long one I thought it would be better to leave it for another time
I went up to Staffin, 2 years ago, at that point its more like someones drive than a public road, and I began to feel I was intruding ,a little, (noisy tourist) so I turned and went, Portree to Dunvegan then back to Kyleakin, thats a good road in top condition. EU funded, ( Im just saying).
yeah after Staffin it's all single track, not really speed triple territory! The loop is good right enough Skye is forecast sunny on Sunday
Im thinking some light showers to start off with, then maybe a little drizzle after that, famous last words.
Did Armadale to Mallaig few years back, roughest ferry trip I ever made. Bikes were strapped down, thank god. A big traille on the ferry, wasn't half bouncing around!!! We stood up top and had to hold onto the handrails to stay upright
I don’t wish to be a bore but your naivety is touching. Where do you think the EU got the money? I too have seen all the signs proclaiming their generosity but the original cheque came from Westminster - but Brussels kept a huge whack for themselves that we might better spend here on our priorities......rather than goat sheds in Romania. Enjoy the taxpayer tarmac!
Ye olde Saucy Mary's beautiful evening too It's clean and cheap. Now I'm off across the road for a slap up feed.
I nipped over the bridge to fill up.I might wake up early and want away. Or some Irish singer may wake me Daniel o andy
