Weather beginning to break, temps rising, and I had a day to play with the new bike and put the most miles on her since I bought it just after Christmas. Started off at a winery to listen to a great musician with a friend on his Street Glide and our wives following in the cage. After that, it was time for us to play on serpentine roads in and around the Appalachian Mountains. Finally broke 300 miles on way to hear the music and was able to play with the bike up to 5000 RPM for most of the trip. While most of the roads I was familiar with, it was surprising how much faster I can take it on the Bonneville T120 then on my Harley Road Glide. Just ask my friend on his Street Glide that couldn't keep up with the more nimble Bonnie. This is why I bought this bike and it is just a fantastic piece. I know you guys are used to it, but the more I ride the T120, the more I find to love about it save for the seat and non-self cancelling turn signals and having to use the key. WTF, Triumph? You have ride modes, heated grips, and other goodies, but not some of the basics I am used to. Minor complaints overall. But a great ride. Picture is in front of one of the buildings in Thurmont. Now it's time to schedule my initial service and get the recall taken care of.
Zinc. Great picture. Those bits you mention are very easy fixes. And key yes give me a key any day. All this keyless ignition is nightmarish and leave your pride and joy easy pickings for smart crooks stealing to order these days. Enjoy your ride out. Ride Safe & Enjoy Joe.
Sounds like a great ride. I moved from HD to Triumph and agree with the non cancelling turn signals. I'm still trying to get used to this minor quirk!

You guys are awesome. That will limit one potential issue when switching between bikes. Rode the T120 to work for the first time yesterday. Commute is 54 miles (87KM) one way. Now it's time for it's first (500 mile) service. Loving this little bike!
I once rode off on my keyless Switchback....rode 50 miles and switched it off before I realised my mistake.....God knows where I'd left the fob!Never did find it Key everyone for me.
I would assume that there is a code you can enter to start without a fob or key like Harley has on their bikes.
Jeez...have you ever tried to use the hd code...assuming you can find it...by pressing both indicator buttons in various sequences? What a pain ....I just got myself home, got my spare and then ordered a new fob.
Yeah, it wasn't that bad. Funny thing is so few people ever change the factory code, which would make it easy to steal a Harley.
Come on man...self cancelling turn signals are for Harley’s! Real riders always have a signal blinking.
I hate auto turn off indicators. Have them on my Road King and they are a pita as I can sometimes miss judge the road distance and they are turned off before I turn into the road.
