Swapped my standard indicators for some LED ones. They have built in resistors, so that saved me some pounds. I was informed i need to change my flasher relay to a CF13 JL-02. It arrived today but this is a 3 pin relay and mine turns out to be a two pin, like in the pictures. Can someone tell me where and what is the right one i need?.
I'm definitely not an expert but if resistors are built in surely you won't need to change the relay?? I thought you needed one or t'other to get the correct flash rate, not both....
Found a 2 pin relay, plugged in and hey presto the indicators work. Even though the indicators say they have built in resistors i don't think they have. Like you said with the resistors a new relay should not be needed.
Hm... newer heard about relay build in to an indicator, it must be a bloody big indicator to take relay Btw went to Triumph York this Saturday to check new stuff and had a chat about swapping indicators on my speed triple and I have to put relay which is £20 from the dealer, not such a big of a deal, but the whole set of four indicators and relay £200
Not Relay, they have built in resistors. New flasher relay cost me £3.45. In all, i cost me £11.41 for the whole lot. The indicators are much smaller than the stock items. All my lamps are now LED. Overall took me under an hour to fit them. This is if i had the right relay to hand i had to wait 3 days for the relay to be delivered. These are the one's i fitted
Wow, £200 or £12 massive savings, i wonder what the look and feel like. I had a close look at the Triumph ones and felt in love with them straight away, amazing build quality and attention to details no wonder they so costly. Really want to get those, but its hard to resist the bargain of £12.....hmmm not sure
