Although forums can be a great help and members on forums have helped me sort out my problems 99.5% of the time. There is a small group that drive me mad with frustration. 1. People that know it all but know nowt about the subject. 2. OP that posts a call for help then never returns to his post after people have taken their time to sort his problem out. RUDE. 3. People that go off thread. 4. People that are rude and demeaning to others. 5. People that overall spoil good forums. Have you any gripes that you can add?
Dozers. Let me answer No 5 first. I've belonged to forums that would have been really interesting and informative but there was a certain group that was always trying to ruin the site with verbal attacks on other members. They were always acting like little kids. To this day i don't know why they were not band. As for No4. This site has surprised me so far as i haven't seen rude, personal comments in any posts. No one is taken as stupid or an idiot. That's what i like, everyone is on the same level, No one tries to act bigger than they are and no one tries to put others down.
Think you’ve answered your own questions mate Basically don’t go on forums you don’t like This is the only forum I’ve ever used I like the information that’s readily available even if it sometimes gets derailed (lots) I especially like the humour and micky taking although some people don’t Yep I like it here
Don't get me wrong i like a good laugh but ive known some to take it too far. Take the pee out of me all day long and ill join, am good at that myself but i do feel sorry for others who can take it personally and to heart.
That’s because most of us have reached the same height of idiocy, unfortunately some find that the idiot ladder’s rungs can fall out when only half way up
I’ll put up with all of the above, it’s over moderation that kills a decent forum, that’s why this one is thriving, we manage to police ourselves without interference.
Most on here like cake but there’s one or two on here who would rather eat their crayons I’m rather partial to the green ones myself
