Featured Touring 2019 Scottish Road Trip 26th May To 2nd June

I have childhood memories of that road circa 1966 and my Dad’s canary yellow Consul 375 with red vinyl bench seats. (He got a discount to take it out of the showroom) That WAS the road to Mallaig not the modern ‘bypass’.
In more recent times I have used http://www.cnoc-na-faire.co.uk/
for long weekend breaks. Idyllic if you catch the weather and enough of a breeze to keep the midges down! Late May should be relatively midge free.

 

Well I’ll be happy to get up early to see all this.

 

The stretch between Kin Lochailort and Mallaig was a LOT prettier before the bypass... Back of Keppoch to Morar still is.

 

It is one of my favourite spots on the face of the planet.

 

I collected the t shirts today,i'll send everyone a PM re payment, the Hostel in Skye and the Hotel in South Queensferry is due to be paid soon, so rather than ask for 3 separate payments i'll add it all up so it will be just one payment you send

Just got in and found two parcels waiting for me. One must be my new bluetooth headset which I haven't opened yet. The one I have opened is my brand new Scottish 2019 Road Trip T Shirt in BRIGHT YELLOW.
Not sure if I should wear it in the pub tonight and spill beer down it (like a christening type of thing) or save it till we meet up next month.

For those of you that weren't on last years trip I have put a Scotland pin badge in with your t shirt, I got a box of them for giving away to folk when I was doing my road trip in America several years ago ..I'm just about out of them now!
