Hi, I've just registered, so thought I'd introduce myself. I'm Jed, I live and work in Manchester but also Greece for 4 months of the year - I know, lucky me! I ride to Greece each year and then do trips out from where I am based once there. I've done a lot of European riding, usually solo. This year I'm riding to Greece via France, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Skpoje, then dropping down through northern Greece to get a ferry to one of the Ionian islands. I ride a Tiger 800 Xca 2015. Its been a great bike so far with the only issue being a relay for the headlight packing up - touch wood! Look forward to participating in the forum. Be safe.
Welcome in. I did a trip down to Greece back in the early 70’s, didn’t do as many countries as you but ended up staying on one island for over a month. Pure decadence!!
Jedventure Rider. Welcome to the Family Mate. Send us all a picture of the Steed if you can. Keep us quite for Nursey. Ride Safe & Enjoy Joe.
Pure decadence indeed my friend! I usually ride down to Ancona in Italy and get the ferry. Doing things a bit different this year. I've always wanted to go via this route but up to now it hasn't been practical. Thanks for the welcome.
Cheers. I put some Metzeler Karoo Street boots on her last year because I wanted something with a bit more grip off-road. They didn't make a massive amount of difference riding off the tarmac to be honest, but my God they stick like glue to the roads. These have now become my tyre of choice. Really inspire confidence in the corners.
