    Hi all,
read this morning about a recall on the clutch cable rubbing the loom araound the neck on the 900 to 1200s.
Is this something that is common knowledge?

I’ve seen a recall for the US for the Bonneville, if it’s the same for the UK dealers will send letters to registered keepers asking them to book their bikes in for work FOC.

    Yes a safety problem.

Check out a similar post on this same topic in the Triumph Twin Power section.

Thanks for the heads up on this. My 2016 T120 is effected. No letter from the dealer, however.

Triumph have said they have contacted all affected customers - which means original owners and any second owner who has been registered with Triumph by the supplying used sales dealer. If you are the original owner Mark, then you should ave heard by now. If you pm me the last six digits of your VIN number I can check if your details are recorded at Triumph.

For my part I've also phoned and/or emailed every affected customer who has bought a Street Twin/Cup/Scrambler from our shop, who hasn't already had the warranty carried out, using an earlier recall listing supplied by Triumph. This was before it became apparent the T100 and T120 models were also potentially affected. There's no good reason why other dealers haven't done the same for the Street models.

Unless Triumph are sending the notifications from one of their far east locations by second class carrier pigeon then they have left me off the list. As I'm Hugh's original owner they should have my details, but then if the notes are coming from/via the supplying dealer it could be the reason as mine is not a franchise dealer any more and they told me they cannot help with the recall. Still, I get to meet someone called Richard at Woburn Triumph on Wednesday instead...

Thanks Rich. I checked the vin link which Yorkshireman kindly posted. I’m the second owner (bought it with 200 miles on the clock.....). I’m due to book it in for a service next month (keeps the warranty up) so I’ll get it sorted then. All the best.
