Hi DB here, thx for letting me in. Went and sold my 2006 BM 1200 ADV and bought me, 'Mr T', yes that's his name, after 22yrs of riding GS's, I've gone off on a complete tangent, and bought into the cruiser market. Only a few days in, I'm enjoying it so far. Went halfway with the Highway Kit, and got the Vance Hines as well. Screen to be added later this week, but my intention is to ride her stripped down Bobber style, then throw the Highway Kit on for trips away. Looking forward to many happy miles, and adding a few treats to Mr T.
Der Baron Welcome to the Family. Cracking bike. Let us all know how you like it here in the Triumph Family and the Forum. Ride Safe Joe.
Hi and welcome to the forum. I'm sure you will love the speedmaster and have many happy miles with him. Wessa
.Thanks Guys, have a couple of questions to ask about mods, but will save them for later. Thanks for the welcome.
Don't get the Triumph ones if you are going to do any serious touring. They are only window dressing. I wouldn't carry anything more in them than a flask and sandwich. Only rated for 3kg each despite their 13.5 lit capacity.
Baron, My Man ( I said that like Denzel Washington in Training Day) sorry you couldn't hear it. Love the new Speedmasters and it is on my super short list fir a new bike in 2021. I am a short legged little SOB so I would have to swap the Forwards from the speedy to the Mid controls from the Bobber. other than that I wouldn't mod at all for a year or so at least. Give the aftermarket time to embrace this model. Welcome Aboard and ride, ride, ride
I wouldn’t worry too much about the forward pegs They’re no where near as forward as other cruisers Have a test ride if you haven’t already
Hi and welcome to the forum der Baron. Love the Speedy, you can see some options under the gallery. Enjoy
Hi my man, cheers. Don't think you need to worry about feet forward position as I've seen a lot of test ride vids by shorter riders, who are happy with it, unless you are a hobbit of course . I think the beach bars and feet forward combo are what makes it so comfortable to ride over a distance. I'm only talking really about the Triumph accessory brochure for mods with the exception of bar risers, for my stupidly short arms. I reckon a we present a month to myself up to the summer should see her just the way I want her. Standby for a few updates and arty farty photos.
