Varies as to what category your vehicle drops in. Better off if you check the govt website. Bikes are £88 presently.

Yep £88 for over 600cc, just payed it a couple of weeks ago.

Adding road tax to petrol would be good for me,,,,,,,only I wouldn’t trust them to play ball they’d probably add £5 to a gallon of fuel

What gets me is if they hike RFL fees for cars in say the budget it’s all over the media.

But hike it up for bikes by a few pounds every couple of years and it’s never mentioned.
It only comes to light when you retax your bike

If you don't police it you cannot prevent it. Unfortunately the current situation will never improve without a change in attitude and funding for the police to track uninsured drivers/riders......

All I can find is it's going up by the RPI rate of inflation, 1.8% I think.

That would be REALLY good for me - I use LPG. I put maybe £50 of high octane in a year into my car and am (rather unashamedly) a fair weather rider.

What REALLY pees me off at the moment is that my wife pays £20 a year road tax on her Audi A3 - it's a TFSi Ultra ('cylinder on demand') but it still takes up a car space on the road; weighs as much as most other cars of its class; is not exactly mega-efficient on fuel consumption and, I presume, has far higher harmful, real-world emissions than the Street Triple she rides! Sensible road taxation policies? I don't think so.

    Rant over.

Poured with rain all morning and sunny all afternoon here.
I'm off work now until Monday and also taxed the bike from 1st March on the back of the fantastic February weather, normally run it from 1st April, as has been said, total waste of one month of duty.
