Hi , Its a Quill 2 into 1 , and it was on the bike when I bought it. It has a removable baffle , but I have left it in as its a great sound as it is. I have replaced the original indicators with Lucas style ones, relocated the ignition switch, upgraded the rear shocks and put a nice brown seat on ! Next job is to put progressive springs on the front and thats about it for now. Love the bike , and looking forward to the better weather ...................
Here's my Bonny. She's been under a cover for the last month and looks like she'll be staying there for a while yet. Cheers Dave
Thank you Dave. I've wanted a Bonneville since 1965 and finally, after 49 years. got the one I wanted.
Bought this in November, haven't been on it too often due to wet, gritty, salty Scottish roads. Hopefully that changes soon.
Lovely looking bike buddy, I know the feeling, same here over in Ayrshire, hopefully be nice for the MCN show in a couple of weeks
Hi CD, your pics have very large file sizes and so take longer to download when reading the thread. If you adjust the settings in your camera/phone to a smaller dimension you'll find they upload loads quicker and work better/more fluidly in threads. For existing pics there is a free to download program called Pixresizer, to reduce the file size of your images before posting. The size I find most suitable for forums is 800x550 as it still gives a big enough pic to be nice to look at but the file size is small enough to work well electronically. @ Half ton - I know just what you mean. It's just been raining and raining here so everywhere is mud - Yuk !!!!
Finally got round to painting the Scrambler mudguards I bought off ebay and fitting them to the Bonnie. Had already swapped the indicators for something smaller, have now also ditched the "baboons arse" of a rear light (great description but not mine!) in favour of a lucas style replica.
That looks a big grab rail Steve. Someone got small arms or is it the angle o dangle camera shot? And what's that bed sheet doing on the indicator in pic 1?
It's a standard Renntec rail, so it may be the angle of the shot Tigcraft. Probably will change it for one of the more rounded ones in black (yet another change and something else to buy!). Not sure about the bed sheet but daffodils growing successfully out of the seat!
