Dougie,it's looking very likely i am not going to make it,today had news that my knee op is next week and although that gives me over 2 months to get better i don't think my compo will be materialising until the end of june,so no money but got another month before i have to cancel my B & B's.So i will wait until the last minute.I'm gutted it will be the first time iv'e ever missed the irish rally 2 weeks before yours and i was really looking forward to yours, but i will go over to ireland in august instead then arrange to meet you in scotland in september but will have my new bike then hopefully.

There are no reserves anyway! luckily Gaz was organizing his own accommodation so it will not affect any of the bookings I've made.
I will have to cancel Sunday night for Wayne and Mark as they will not manage to meet us until later. @Havit do you think you will manage to meet us at the Corran bunkhouse for the Monday night?..i would have to know nearer the time so I can cancel it if you are not going to manage.. hopefully you can though!..once you get past loch Lomond it's fast roads all the way to the bunkhouse

    Fabulous Andy

On a similar vein, here is Von Suppé’s Light Cavalry Overture. No video, but just as rousing. If you listen beyond the somewhat sombre violin intro you’ll love it.

Sorry, but it’s from one of those EU folk

A little taster for the folk that are getting up early on the Tuesday morning on this years Scotland trip, this is "The road to the isles"(A830) that @Rocker asked me about:cool:
for the rest of the group that don't fancy an early start
(we will be ready to leave at 7am sharp!) we will meet you at JJs café first left as you turn onto the A830 just outside Fort William 9.30-10am
@Vulpes it might bring back some memories for you:)

Certainly brings back memories! I spotted the wee church just after Loch Ailort they used in "A local hero"... That back road you took after Arisaig is great.
