    Hi I’m new on here

Hi guys just back from a lovely 120 mile ride on 95 Tbird and washed the bike over and noticed very slight missing, so checked the coils and I have noticed the bottom one was arching/sparking blue (touching the fuel line) any ideas? Has the coil broken down or is just because it’s simply touching the line? Dangerous I know ‍♂️ The bike runs good and revs clear.

When you say the coil do you mean from the body of the coil or do you mean its tracking back from where the HT cable is connected to the front of the coil along the body of the coil.

Firstly a good spray with WD 40 or similar water dispersant would help but you need to make sure the coil is not wet

Thanks for that, the spark was coming from the underside (flat red part) of the coil as that was the part itouching the fuel line. Which I think is no.3 coil

If its definitely coming from underneath then it is likely that the seal between the potting and the outer case has failed, I would give it a good dose of WD40 and see if that cures it for now.

Then I would order a replacement from here :-

    https://www.triumphparts.gbr.cc/product.php/7003632/

and fit the replacement when it arrives, which is a straight forward swap.
