Coolant Confusement

Morning all,

I was just wondering what coolant I need to be keeping an eye out for for my 2002 Speed Triple 955i.

I was thinking this:

Or does it need to be special motorcycle stuff?

I’ve just put Halfords OAT coolant in mine, £16 with trade card for 5 litres so enough for another change. Haynes manual says any OAT coolant is ok.

Can I get this locally, or can I get my OATs away?

 

You can get it at Halfords or Eurocarparts etc, however if you try and get your oats there you may run into problems.

 

...so I bought this, but the pink one, as it specifically said "OAT".

Is that ok?

 

It should be fine OAT is usually not recommended for older engines that have copper radiators with soldered joints.
