I guess some losses may be explained by having the "wrong" exhaust for the tune. Maybe a standard bike would show less gain. But whatever that is a nice improvement to have for 300 odd quid !
But with a low boy it should have the correct Triumph map installed, but possible it was fitted without it?
The Lowboy was fitted from new with the correct map. My suspicion the hole at 8,500 is because the throttle grip slipped slightly on the run, other dyno's for similar Speeds I've seen don't seem to show this.
Normally there is very little Change at the top end, as it’s lower revs where the AFR is screwed up buy Euro crap!
Hi.. Just wondering where you got the carbon heat shield for the exhaust from, apologies if this is already been asked. Cheers
Hello Chris - the heat shield is from CarbonFBR, but you'll need to watch the fitment as the mounting positions for 2016/17 are different to 2018/19 (and I'm not sure what pre 2016 looks like). The details are in this thread - back here: https://www.thetriumphforum.com/threads/2018-speed-triple-rs-–-ownership-thread.13318/page-14#post-228922 I never did manage to find out whether the 2018+ part has been updated.
Have you guys heard anything more about the connectivity module? I'm really exited about it and hope its not terribly expensive, as its the only thing (a part from perhaps wheeliecontrol) that the bike is missing. Cheers!
I've heard nothing, but I'm keeping my ear to the ground. I'm visiting the MCN London Motorbike Show on Friday, so will ask if Triumph have any more info
Pssst! I think some of you may wish to argue you case against BB3 Lions at below post #324... just saying https://www.thetriumphforum.com/threads/new-girl-in-town.15336/page-17
So I asked at the Triumph stand today and someone who looked like they knew what they were talking about, advised that April was a tad optimistic (and their website needs to be updated). Well after October (so Q4) is what the man said
I'll probably go for it just to have it, unless it is crazy expensive. I'm hoping a few new features and maybe some new themes would be cool. That said, I'm using my Garmin 595LM and I love that thing, so turn-by-turn or using controls wouldn't be that useful for me as the Garmin does that already, plus some.
I'd guess it will be at least £200 (based on a market research question I answered). The turn-by-turn nav looks basic, and the other two options (GoPro control and phone connectivity aren't of interest to me). I connect my phone to my Sena 20S. As you suggest...perhaps there will be some other excitement bundled in.
Agreed, I connect my phone to my GPS and Packtalk Bold as I forgot about the bluetooth feature for phone control. Fingers crossed we get some cool gui updates.
