Both if I understand what you are saying, several groups/lines, and than a ring of a several sockets and ceiling outlets for lighting
Sounds like us with ring mains as we call them for different areas upstairs and downstairs with different ratings for sockets, lights and cooker. The French standard practice is miles of single cables radiating everywhere.....
Phew! Thank feck for that, Jez! I thought I might be the only one to think that - and it was such a scary thought! Well, it was until I saw the fishnet tights/stockings. That put things into perspective somewhat.
