Well, tricky one as I’ve had close to 60 bikes be it ones to sell or ones as keepers. My heart lies between a red early 900s Ducati monster which had such aura and charisma, it had simple mechanics to tinker with and a ‘pure’ V twin glorious deep sound which made my heart flutter. Then also although from another stable was a ‘free spirit’ yellow MuZ Skorpion Sport cafe racer, British design, jap engine and rode like a two wheeled version of a ‘lotus 7’/go cart. That again was just a simple non intimidating bike that put the fun back into mental cornering !!
I wish I still had my 1973 fs1e, JOT93M. I'd restore it and flog it. It staggers me how much people will pay for them now. I flogged it for £45.
I don't think I qualify to contribute to this thread because the bike I would have regretted selling... ...I didn't (sell it, that is). I was wanting to trade my R1200S for a Tiger 800, but wasn't offered what I wanted for it, so long story short, I kept it and bought the Tiger 800 anyway. I would have regretted getting rid of the Beemer.
has to be my Honda Valkyrie, bought new in 1998, still have it! shame but my new T120 Bonneville just doesn't come near.
No doubt about this. A Norton 99 Dommie. Inclined motor to take a decent Commando primary case and all in bare bones cafe racer trim. Used , abused, and oft remembered.
Thanks Tigcraft. After a trip down through France to Spain and back then a long tour of Scotland in one summer, I came to the conclusion it wasn't too comfy for me any more. So went for the Tiger 800, which is now the workhorse. The beemer is still my favourite for an afternoon blast to nowhere and back.
This is my 955i RS .I rebuilt it from tatters and learned so much, rode like new and looked it too. Its for sale on eBay has been for 2 1/2 years, since I sold it. I even phoned the guy about buying it back.
I fricken love my current bike, 2015 Speedy, had it a year now, first Triumph and had wanted one since seeing the first incarnation of the 1050 at the NEC, absolutely adored my Honda Firestorm too
