I have noticed that some sailings for 2019 are already full and that some cabins have sold out.

 

Are you guys that have expressed an interest in this trip AND the France trip still interested in this trip ?

 

I'm a bit lost now (I know it is an age thing). If I understand what is being proposed is:

1. GMU UK based three day event, location date to be decided
2. Spain / Portugal, to be decided
3. France, to be decided

For me I will do the GMU and likely one of the two european trips

Yes pretty much.

1. GMU - Spot on
2. Spain - proposed by me, not Portugal though
3. France - I think Dave (Biglad) is putting a proposal together for next years GMU to be held in France. But if it doesn't make GMU it could be a trip in it's own right.
If @thebiglad does organise a trip to France I'm happy to do Spain another time or do it with a mate.

 

Ok for me then, I'm up for the UK GMU and one of the european proposals. To remove any confusion would it be best to close out these threads and start two new ones (I think Ron suggested this as well). 1 for the GMU and the other for the european trip, in the latter we can decide on where in europe to go. What is the view of those interested?

Thought I'd breathe some air into this after seeing @tcbandituk 's post about his trip riding down through France after getting the ferry to Caen and getting the ferry back from Santander. Frankly I'm really jealous.
So does anyone fancy doing Portsmouth to Caen ferry,
Ride "D" roads through France enjoying the countryside,
Ride the Pyrenees into the Picos de Europa and along the coast.
Return ferry Santander/Bilbao to Portsmouth/Plymouth.
In September.
Or something similar.

If you guys do decide to go in September I might bump into you as i'll be leaving Aragon on the 23rd September and spending 3/4 days in the Pyrenees getting back for the ferry in Bilbao (before that i'll be in the Pecos 14th to 18th sept) just been checking out routes in both places and the roads look amazing

 

I've been making up routes on the myroute web site, everywhere you look in the Pecos and the Pyrenees there are nothing but fantastic roads..really looking forward to it

I’m holidaying in Bali and the Classic TT/MGP in August.

Also no bunkhouses for me

I’d better not tell you that I’m also going on a cruise in April and my 1st trip to the IOM in July for the Southern100 road races
Nearly forgot the GMU also

What with you upsetting him at last years GMU and now this,,,,,I hope he finally sees who is the trouble maker and realises who his bestist mate really is

 

It's definitely a pain filling in the free time once work has finished....

Off to the Isle of Man in May and June (and possibly August)

I'll be at the GMU in July.
Off to Philadelphia with the other half in August.
Then France/Spain in September

After that, planning starts for next year

 

Andy I would love to do another trip in the Picos, but unfortunately I will be on a cruise ship in the western med during late September. I know somebody has to do it.... I won't mention my March and May cruises, opps I just did. Such is life when you don't have anything better to do...
