Well, in order to be a part of what I see as a huge part of Triumph history, I joined the 59 Club. I’m amazed at how it all started, and how we in the US, allowed a bunch of criminals to ruin the concept of motorcycle clubs. Even though I may never get the chance to actually visit the U.K., I’m happy that I have an opportunity to be a part of it. Long live the Rockers!
Daytona wasn't meant to be another Sturgis. Thank God. Began as a racing venue then morphed into 2 camps. One primaily track centered & 1 beach centered. The latter, like Sturgis & other primarily H-D/chopper venues are costume clad T&A "look @ me events." I've had H-D's & truly admire H-D's story but not the image unfortunately supported by H-D. Their image prior to Hollistet's event & staged Life mag photo was positive.
It’s pretty much the same every time at Daytona, but sitting at Neptune’s and watching the freak show, does have some entertainment value.
No doubt. I advise 1st timers to leave their bike @ home(so that you're not dog walking it fm light to light) find a place to park the car early a.m. in a 5 block area & just walk/sit & watch. Of course they have to bring their bike at least once then tell me later I was right. Fun but repetitious.
