Hi All Just to say hello , I recently just brought a 1200 trophy back from death , been standing since 2003 with only 5,000 miles on hit . It's took many weekends and a lot of hard work to get it almost ready . Still a little bit more to do. Took it round the block last weekend , ran rough still got a blocked carb , so back to drawing board , better weather would help. I've changed the colour didn't really like the champagne silver so now is black. Some info on idle screw setting would be helpful . Thanks Paul
Hi Paul, welcome to a fellow Brummie. According to the Haynes manual the base setting for idle/pilot air setting is 1 and a half turns out but if I recall correctly I seem to remember people using 2 turns out. Good luck with your Trophy, I have a Sprint, great bikes. I would use redex or similar in your fuel a few times too, it seems to keep the jets clear. Also keep your battery in top notch form as you don't want to have sprag clutch issues. The lads will be asking for pics mate. Lol
@sprintdave has it about right 2 - 2 1/2 turns should get you in the ball park, also make sure the choke is correctly set-up and is going fully off when warm. Have you balanced the carbs ? No. 3 is the master carb and all the others are set up relative to that carb.
Paul12Trophy+ Welcome to the Family. You know the inmates will want a picture of the Steed especially if you have a funky new colour scheme on there. Give them something to drool over while Nursey medicates them. Ride Safe Joe.
Welcome to the Asylum you should fit right in. To keep the inmates happy we will need photos. BLACK what a great colour Tucker
But probably wear better shoes than what appear to be "slip-on trainers" (sneakers?) with white socks!
Thanks for the info I will be attacking it today . I'll keep the forum posted . Thanks al for the welcome
