I use a lot of Adam’s Polishes on my vehicles. I really like their stuff, so I snagged their Waterless Wash and Matte Detail Spray for my 765 RS.

Funnily enough, I went into buy a new speed triple at the end of last summer. But when I saw them in the dealer I was very, meh, about the colours. The sales guy said most people love them and no-one has ever complained but the very next customer who came in said exactly the same.
I'm not sure if it's true but I was told that with the Matt black, the paint is the same underneath, so it was suggested that the Matt effect could be "rubbed off" and then polished/lacquered on top and you'd have a nice gloss black speed triple rs.

I would suggest this. It’s designed for Matt paint. I’ve done some research on this and believe it’s the way to go. I use to coat vehicles with a ceramic nanotechnology coating (Opti-Coat) and it was a far better option than waxes and sealants. I will be using this on my Matt black RS in the near future and will take photos of the process and post.

After research i went for Met Matt, got a bottle of shampoo and bottle of detailing polish, goes on easy and bike looks brand new again. Takes minutes and no messing about.

    Thanks for your advice.

I know Matt paint is more finicky to look after, but I love the look.

I know this is a late response but if matt paint is not looked after and you need something done, there is a solution. You could have it machine polished or wet sanded and machine polished. I’ve wet sanded and polished many vehicles over the years and the bike would be a cheap and easy task. The result would be a semi gloss finish that would look neither Matt or glossy. Just an idea for Matt paint that has been trashed.
