Interesting thing is that his family are all saying what a good boy he was, and yet what we actually know about him is.... He was riding a moped illegally (and therefore without insurance) His parents had no control over him He was involved in gang related things A social worker had had to take a knife from him While it is a shame a young life has been lost, I find it difficult to sympathise. The BBC have published a list of all the 132 people murdered in London in 2018. 32 were white British or unidentified by the BBC, That the remaining 100 (so about 3/4 of the total) are black/foreign kind of shows the demographic of where the problems lay. I know saying it like that makes me seem racist, but I am just using the information and photos published by the BBC as my primary source of hard data.
Not one media report asks the question..... What was a 14 year old doing riding around the streets of London on a Moped I dare say Genghis Khan the Mayor will have the answer
The "old saying" 'All dead deserve is the TRUTH' is apt in this scenario ! That's why we have *"Coroner's Courts"* unbiased truth seekers !
It's sad how things have changed. When I was 12 or so we carried knives a lot of the time. Not to stab people with, that just never entered anyone's head. We used to whittle wood, make bows and arrows, go fishing, make dens, make rafts etc etc. Nowadays I'd maybe get away with a small penknife in with some fishing tackle but I wouldn't like to get caught with a knife in my pocket anywhere else.
