It’s a bit of a marketing ploy...... they are selling malt whisky that has not been cask matured to anything like the same degree hence no X years old. If there is more demand today than you can meet from what you distilled 10+ yrs ago then increase production and bottle the young stuff as a ‘Directors’ Special ‘ or some such. There are a few about. Nothing intrinsically wrong with it but not quite the price or quality.
Yes, there a lot of no-age statement young malts on the shelves, such as Glenlivet Founder's Reserve which replaced the 12 yr-old in the UK for a while so they could satisfy the US market with the better quality version, and really quite poor by comparison. Talisker Storm is actually a good representation of the Talisker style and old enough to have lost any harshness. I buy it when it's on offer. I'd say the Skye is probably a little 'milder' - less smoky, softer and sweeter - so a good choice for anyone looking for an introduction to the Island distillery style.
Wolf Blass Shiraz & Whisky Mac using Stones Ginger wine instead of Ginger ale .OK why is the room spinning ???
I bow down to your Superior knowledge ... but can you please tell me how to stop the Fucking room from spinning ......PLEASE...
Carry on adding more whiskey and Stones until passing out fixes the spinning problem. I cannot guarantee if you’re going to feel ok in the morning but the spinning will stop. This is not medical advice so don’t take any notice at all.
The major cause of drink related problems is drinking out of damp glasses, it can lead to colds, man flu and all sorts of illnesses including vertigo.
Firewater bourbon 40% just under 8 euros from the Mercadonna (supermarket) and Mahou Barrica special edition 6.9%.
Tea, trying for dry January as I’m carrying a bit of timber from over chrimbo and want to lose it ready for the new riding season (when the worlds longest running 12,000 mile service is finally done)
Makes the Hilltop remap all the more worth it then if I apply the same logic Still that don’t make the riding gear fit any better. What’s that dear, nuther cuppa, oh, ok then
Must admit, I do enjoy a drop or two of Singleton. Although my wife says I tend to get angry once I start on it,don’t know what the HELL SHE’S GOING ON ABOUT
