After looking at locations - most everyone lives on an Island and part of the UK. I feel a bit kinship living on a peninsula surrounded by fresh water aka Michigan in the USA. Plus the company I worked for over 20 years was head quartered in Peterborough, England
T120 Bonnie in Seattle, Washington, USA. Which is not on an island nor part of the UK. It is close to Canada tho, which used to be part of the UK. Does that count?
But it rains in Seattle even more than here.....and Canada, like the US, was never part of the UK. It was a colony before it became self governing. They just asked nicely. Used to have friends in Fort Lewis/Steilacoom. Love the Pacific NW.
If I wanted a new Harley, yes. I even debated a new CVO Road Glide, but I put too much $$$ into my 2015 and plan on keeping it quite a while longer. It's a great touring bike and I bought the T120 for more local rides and I will use both for commuting when the snow and ice leave the roadways.

Yet they are still profitable and not losing money. What the article missed was all the work that Harley has done over the past several years to cut costs, consolidate manufacturing plants, and update models. Yes, there are some bleak years ahead, but they are equipping themselves to weather the storm. As far as declining sales, sales of motorcycles in general and aftermarket parts and motorcycle clothing are all suffering. Only a few brands, like Indian, have been able to increase sales.
Those are all great points. I hate to see any good company fail. I had a 1984 FXSB, and they have certainly come a long way since then! But, IMHO I think they’re headed in the wrong direction with the electric cycle.
Working 54 miles each way, I won't be buying an electric vehicle of any sort anytime soon. But it is more than just an electric motorcycle. The Live Wire is all Harley, but they have partnered, and broke up with after only 6 months, Alta Motors to produce a line of Electric bikes that are to be much less costly than the Live Wire, which is their halo bike. We'll have to see how the line up of smaller bikes is accepted by the US market and abroad.
