 Get sick of saying it but I bloody hate wiggly amps
Anyway to work out the best place to put the plug and socket I put the tow bar on NUDGER today :) glad to say it went on no problems and looks like a Triumph part :)
Tried various routes for the wiring and settled on this set up just to the left of the battery along side my battery tender plug :)
All tucked away and zip tied into place :)
Got the worst part to do yet:(
I can see the wiring I need to tap into but access is really difficult :(
I can’t find the end of the wiring on the bike where it starts :(
I presume that there’s a plug on the end but I can’t find it :(
So I’ve removed the rear light/number plate assy and I’ll tap into wiring in there again :)

Crikey Jez your making it to easy for him.

Let’s hope Dilli doesn’t attempt to do any wiring on New Year’s Day, it’ll all be a blur

Yeah I’ve already been in there once :)
But last time it was a bit of a bodge job
I had the wiring piggybacked using connectors  which were not huge but it’s that tight in there that it was a bugger getting the assy mounted again  also the wiring was on the outside down to the socket and held with cable ties :(
Been looking/thinking about how to do it this time and I’m gonna see if I can follow the route of the wiring already on NUDGER as it passes through a sort of tube/tunnel type of thing :)
I’ve already stripped a suitable length of 7 core cable discarding the blue and black wires which I don’t need :)
As long as I can feed the 5 wires required through the same route as NUDGERS wiring then I’ll be home and dry:grinning:
Bit of soldering and shrink wrap and it should be finished :grinning:
    FECKIN WIGGLY AMPS

That's the way to do it mate try to stagger each wire tap slightly so there's not one big lump of shrink wrapped wires to deal with, only need to strip the outer cable just a small bit, I used a small blade to score carefully around cable then applied small side pressure with a pair of small cutters came apart pretty easy, solder and small shrink wrap afterwards,
Jobs a good un take your time marra no hurry plenty of time till rally season :cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool:

 What a bastard that was
The wiring tube/tunnel has this bend/kink in it  and could I feck as like get the wiring through  it was catching on the existing wiring in there and in this bend
Had a rummage through the garage and found some stronger earth wiring which went straight up the tube (ooer mrs) but still got trapped at bend  lots of twisting and cursing  and woo hoo  it eventually goes through :)
Taped the 5 wires I need to use to the earth wire and again lots of twisting and cursing and pulling back and forth until hallelujah :grinning: the Feckin wiring is through the tunnel
Gonna stop for a warm up and a coffee but the end is in sight :grinning: 065C15F5-0888-4226-A0A0-D5B6761E6D36.jpeg 729D33B6-F4D3-4727-A1DD-E3FAE7124DB4.jpeg 808E31D0-2F48-4FBE-9D73-EB4A6FB368A1.jpeg
