Spot on about those pegs, just removed mine and it's opened it right up. Hadn't even considered it before ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Need to sort that tail now.
Yeah I took my 675 in for 3000 mile service and took an RS out as courtesy bike they’re awesome, had to have one! Only had my 675 for 11 months so the mrs was obviously over the moon.....
Hiya fella Course it’s legal in the uk, the evotech tailtidy is no less in length than the triumph tail tidy, it’s just nicer looking and much better quality. However if I, or any tail tidy bike owner is to ride in Europe, the stock has to go back on so that’s why you don’t follow the instructions when they suggest cutting the wires down. I put on a pyramid plastics splashguard over the rear, whilst not to everyone’s taste it works an absolute treat however their installation instructions are wrong and actually dangerous so iv written to them. Their instructions are based on a 675 Daytona, not the street rs although it’s sold as an RS accessory. Il stick it on Youtube too. Cheers
What do you have to take off , so you can take of rear peg brackets, I had a look under seat ,but have not taken anything else off ,but would to take those pegs Help please
Take out the battery and you should see 4 bolts, 2 either side. Unscrew them, and that's it. You can buy plates from evotech that go in its place to stop muck getting in, but tbh I haven't had any issues with that.
My next mod is to remove the pillion pegs and fit a seat cowl. Just read the comments about riding abroad with a tail tidy fitted, never heard that before and would be really be surprised if you were stoppd, nearly every bike in France seems to have one fitted.
I've been considering removing the pillion pegs as well...I prefer the look without, have never even taken a ride with the rear seat on(just the cowl cover), and don't know what I'm waiting for. My only holdup is for the fact that I know as soon as I do, probably like 48 minutes later, I'm going to want to take somebody on it and put them right back on...so stupid. As far as the tail tidy, that's happening soon.
I like the comfort of having something to strap on a bag . And if you drop it it might help you too. Never had side stand isdues tbh.
Thank god it’s not just me that couldn’t find the bloody thing, I put it down to my big clumsy feet. As you say, heel between the peg and gear lever works a treat
totally used to it now man, I think it’s just a bit tricky at first. The new rocket is another with a kickstand that will take some time to get used to I hear
This works fine: https://www.rg-racing.com/browsetype/kickstand_shoes/Triumph/Street_Triple_R_765/PKS0074SI/
I have the 675S and enjoy it, but have my heart set on the new 765 RS. My local dealer is going to give me a decent trade in so looking to get it early next year.
I did the same thing on my Speed Triple RS and, yes, it was a great addition. Not crazy about the looks but got used to that in a hurry. The shoe also provides much more stability when the bike is on the side stand, especially on uneven surfaces.
