Hello My name is Marius, i ride a Speed Triple 2011. I had some dirt bikes before but this is my first street bike, and i was wondering if you guys have steering dampers on your bikes, and if is necessary to have one. So far i was able to find only twos models, one from Matris and the other one from Hyperpro. Hi Marius and welcome. I’ve not felt the need for one on my bike, though I must admit I seldom wonder past 1 six 0 and the rare times I do it glides along as if on rails, my 990...well now there it was needed, very unstable at high speeds with head shake and all the nasty stuff that goes with it. Have you experienced any upsets whilst at higher speeds ? Nice picture there !
Hi Angus.Thanks. The bike is pretty stable and i never went over 160-170 because of the wind...it just blows to hard and it's not fun. So far i didn't had any wobbles but you can get that on bad roads at higher speed so... I just mounted a wind shield to make it more comfortable at high speeds. Is that a sacrilege )?
Marius Welcome to the Family. Great bike scenery terrific. Dampers is a individual choice and aid riding. My Boy uses hyperpro on his race bikes. But I'm sure someone with more knowledge will be along soon with your answers. Probably all having their meds now and Nursey insists no pc before meds. Ride Safe Joe
