For some reason the latest itineration of the Speed Triple is referred to as a 2019 model on this side of the pond. I now have 1500+ miles on the clocks with zero issues. Triumph accessories continue to be a pain to access here in the states. I was able to secure some pieces from a friend in the UK; heated grips, LED indicators, fly screen, tank pad.... . I added a quick-release tank bag + Hepco-Becker sport rack & tail bag. I am thoroughly enjoying every mile. The bike suffers in performance only because we live at 6,000+ feet elevation. For me, and my 'advanced' years it has more than enough power. A little bit of video "breaking in" the RS properly on a pleasant bit of macadam near home; I apologize for my taste in music beforehand. And, as this is my very first Triumph, I love the enthusiasm for all things Triumph on this forum.
The camera is a Revl-Arc. It's a neat bit of kit in that the camera always maintains a vertical orientation regardless of the leaning of the bike. The video quality is good. It isn't big but I wouldn't mount it on a helmet. I normally use a Drift Ghost. I enjoy shooting/editing video, I'm just not good at it.
Hello Allan, What a superb road!! Wish we had that here in holland! And nice recording too (with volume set to zero )
Welcome in mate, gorgeous roads - reminiscent of the ones around Bryce Canyon and Zion. Did those in a car, wishing I had a bike handy!
I' Have the same bike and love riding it, I've done about the same miles and think it's probably the best bike I've owned because it can be used in so many ways. Fast slow cruise thrash all excellent!
'..The bike suffers in performance only because we live at 6,000+ feet elevation...' I was in Denver last month and we took a trip up into the mountains. I suffered in performance too...there's no bloody air up there! Love the bike...
Awesome bike. Mine should be here in a couple of weeks. When you replaced the indicators did you do anything with the relay for flashing speed with the new LEDs?
The Triumph accessory LED turn indicators are 'plug & play.' The front ones go on in a matter of minutes. The rear indicators take a little longer because you have to split the license plate mount. Everything comes in the kit. You don't need to purchase anything. They are beautifully made + a fair bit cheaper than Rizoma's.
Thanks. Yea was thinking Rizoma or OEM. Both look great compared to the hideous excuses for the Xmas bulbs we get in the US.
