Next project on the go, its all there and even has the original Dunlop rims that will go off to be chromed along with the rest of the parts, collecting a few parts at the moment and will strip it down over the next few weeks
If someone just wanted a cheep rider and didn't mind the rust, oil leaks and brushed paint then it would have done the job proudly but that's not for me
Started work on the seat pan as its an original seat pan but has been previously repaired in a bit a get you home way with a plank of wood and some screws lol, going to sand blast it then re weld it properly and fill all the holes with weld and make like new before painting.
Looks like its been blasted by a blunderbuss! I'm really looking forwards to monitoring this latest project Darkman!
Lol, a weak point on the 69 year only seat was the grab rail is bolted to the seat and could eventually cause the rear of the seat to fail, should have it looking like new in a few weeks
At last some free time spent striping the last bits and sorting it all out, hope to get the parts off for plating this week.
It looks like an amazing project. I look forward to seeing it completed. It sure isn’t even close to being as rough as some of the bikes I am seeing.
I always try and make sure that the bike has as many original parts as poss Charley so i can replate or paint as pattern parts are rubbish today pic's make this hand painted beauty look far better lol, if you go back to page 2 in this section you will find the T100C we did earlier in the year as well.
It looks like an amazing project. I look forward to seeing it completed. It sure isn’t even close to being as rough as some of the bikes I am seeing. You do an amazing job on your restorations. I am very impressed and inspired now. Thank you for the links to your builds. Very nice.
Thanks Charley and if i have inspired you then my job is done The nice thing is you have a far better choice of bikes in the US than we do in the UK and way cheaper along with parts as well, wishing you well in your search.
Bit more progres, dropped off the bits for zinc plating and picked up the chrome must get my arse into gear now and finish this off for Su or the summer will be here lol.
OOOHHHH sniney bits you got Dilli attention anyway, cant wait looking forward to another first class restoration job, (and a big smile on your lass's mush)
First lot of plating back and just have to sort all the other new nut bolts and washers to back for plating now.
Darkman. Terrific little bike is lucky to have found you as a custodian. You are remarkable. And I take my hat of to you Sir. Regards Joe.
