Never in a million years DD, such a thought never crossed my mind just thought it was a clever way to convince the missus we need a new more secure garage door. But now you got me re-thinking
Bad news Joe, but it could have been a lot worse. In a few years time you’ll still be calling yourself names, I know I would, but having a chuckle as well thinking I got away with that one.
Glad to hear you and you're family are all OK mate . And bike's are OK good luck with the clean up. Tucker
Hard luck there Joe, but it could have been worse as many others have said, don't beat yourself up, we all cock up with stuff and I learned my lesson with electrics years ago so don't touch them anymore! It sounds like you'll be able to sort it, and at least your bikes got away unscathed, hope you get it sorted soon mate.
Well peeps I am on the finishing stretch now. been out today washed all the bikes. Patched the door and painted the interior. My darling Son Came around and rewired properly. You would have thought I would have noticed when I wired it the lights used to flicker and were dull now they are instant. Of course it is still temporary and the Boy said he will source some industrial fittings. But he got rid of the trip in the garage and fed it to the main fuse box that has an instant cut-out. Tonight I am feeling very tired and a bit shaky. Think it got to me. Tomorrow I am going to put back all the bits and pieces all over the place now. Thanks everyone you know it helps when people understand and support you. From now on Electrics left to the boy cleaning and coffee making is now Dads new job think I'm safer doing that. Ride safe Joe
LittleAde. Thanks yes I am getting there will have to replace the door and maybe fit a new up & over one as well but that's later on. Just need to tidy up for now. Regards Joe
Yes Thanks peeps. Gave the old Garage a good clean up. God I can almost move around now. Regards Joe.
O'h Tez 217 You missed the bonfire Mate. Every one of you are right I am one lucky person. Ride Free Joe.
BikerMan. I even had a chuckle about it. Can see the funny side now that my bikes are safe and no one got hurt. Regards Joe.
