I don't suppose you know if it uses the same fixing kit as the flyscreen?

Don't really know but I would assume not. See attached enlarged view from my bike. There are also lower mounts that can't be seen on the picture.

Group 1.jpg I'm not keen on the aesthetics of the touring screen. I've got the mid-sized flyscreen which transfers the wind off my chest up round my helmet, which I don't find a problem (5ft 8in - ish). Without the screen I was getting upper arm ache around 70-80mph. Now none, and happy to breeze along at 90mph (oh for the extra power of the upgrade). Btw, the Avons make a huge difference with stability at high speed compared to the stock Phantoms.

Well, this is very embarrassing

I took the Street Triple out for a two hour test today whilst my twin was having it's 500 mile tart-up, and absolutely fell in love with it. So much power on tap, and so light and manageable.

When I got back to the dealership, I was offered a potential "upgrade" that saw all my money back on the Twin, including what I spent on accessories (remember I got a hefty discount due to the new model), so i've basically just traded it in against a Street Triple R in jet black.

My thinking was that if I waited a few months I'd get hammered on the trade-in price, and with the new model widely available I'd find it near impossible to sell privately. This does mean that I have no discount on the price of the Triple, but all in all it's a not a bad result.

The Triple is as fast as I could ever want (116bhp), much lighter (32kg/5st lighter) than the Twin and is even narrower, so a joy to filter on and manoeuvre in and out of traffic. On the motorway it's an absolute joy. I think it really was the best decision I could have made.

Nice, guess you wont need to worry about what colour your going to paint your Street Twin. Creative of the dealer, which one?

I'm guessing they wanted a good low mileage Twin for a customer who was not willing to buy new. In any case ENJOY. When I had my 1 year service in September I was handed the keys to a 765R and thought it was amazing too, but my wrists decided we'd stick to my T100.
