Hi Im based in Derbyshire UK and now have a Commander after 16 years of Speed Triples, Grunt and sound are awesome. Brought a new lease of biking to me I was loosing it with amount of police and idiots on the road, but the Commander means a different more laid back style I am getting used to. I joined the forum as I wanted the answer to a question about Exhausts for the Commander. There is a Triumph Hi Flow short exhaust that says its for the Thunderbird or Storm. Mines a 2014 ABS 1700 Commander and wanted to know if these would fit as i want a short exhaust so it makes easy access to the rear axle bolt without dropping the pipes that are on.
Hi Kes, and welcome in. Am new to Triumphs myself so can't answer but am sure someone with the knowledge will be along shortly. Got them on my Nightstorm though and think they look and sound great
Welcome in, try posting your question in the thread relevant to your bike and you might find answers quicker.
Kes Welcome to the Family. Your question about pipes sorry haven't got a clue. But someone will soon. Ron we are all waiting to see what his Sister has to say about him. And I think he's worried. Ride Safe Joe
Welcome Kes. Don't know whether the pipes and your bike are a match, but it's likely possible they can be made to fit with a touch of fettling if not.
Hi Kes and welcome. Looks like you've got the same TBird as me Not totally sure about the pipes but when I picked up my TBird the dealer said the ones you are talking about will fit. I did hear tho that they don't make too much difference to the noise as you need to get rid of the cat to get that real meaty sound....I think Remis do a full replacement. Anyway I've decided to keep the originals on mine (so haven't really looked into this) but love the bike and hope you will too.
Cheers for that, its the length I want rather than the sound the pipes I have ones that sound good, I think they are the high flow long ones. I just wanted to be able to gain access to the rear axle bolt for belt adjustment and tyre change without dropping the pipe, keeping the same sound but with no adjustments..
