Hello, Mike Jennings here. Been riding bikes for a while now but have just bought bits to restore a 1969 T100. Originally I bought a cylinder head off ebay on impulse (you know how it is..) and now have to find a complete bike to fit it. Previous bikes have included a T140E 1981 model and more recently a 2001 T100 Bonneville, both of which were fun but the latter was a bit (lot) more reliable. The old bug bit again so now it's a T100 which I'm hoping to do up a bit like the late '60s GP 500 racers. Cheers MikeJ
Hi n welcome good luck with your project and make sure you ask plenty questions and read up on specs as there are 7 different models of T100 for 69 and they use different parts. I have started a thread in the build section of a 69 T00R i have just started restoring for my Su but it is on hold as i have loads of other jobs to do like building a new motor for my TR6C project lol.
Welcome to the Asylum you should fit right in. Good luck with you're project and don't forget plenty of photos it keeps the inmates happy. Tucker
Wow! thanks for all the welcomes! Building the T100 beastie up doesn't seem quite so daunting now. I'll ask my son to give me a hand with loading photos when I'm a bit further forward with the assembly. I'm not too concerned with purity as regards putting different model year parts together so will be going for a later year bottom end assembly with the squish band head. Cheers, MikeJ
Micheal. Welcome to the Family. Its a funny thing that old bug. You never get rid of it and it raises its head all the time and you just got to get out there and ride it out. Soon you will be like the inmates on here. Any excuse to talk or ride bikes. Ride Free Joe.
Hello & Welcome to the forum. Good luck with your project. Looking forward to the restoration process.
