Well, after much stress, excitement and sleepless nights, and just one day after passing my Mod 2, my Street Twin is here. I spent literally weeks watching and reading reviews, and seeking advice from the many bikers I know. The key issues for me were that I wanted a retro roadster style; it had to be naked; the seat had to be no more than 800mm; and I wanted an engine size of under a litre. Triumph was always a nose in front of everything else, although I did seriously consider a Ducatii Scrambler (fit and finish not as good as others I was looking at) and an R9T (just a little larger and more powerful than I wanted/needed). Despite nearly cracking when I tested an incredible limited edition Stripple, in the end it came down to to Street Twin and the T100. I'd like to have been able to go for the T100 but in reality the ST was much more comfortable (I'm quite short at 5'6"); I could flat foot it, and I knew I could add some bits and pieces to get it how I wanted. In the end, then, that's what I did, and in addition to the stock bike I opted for: Fox adjustable RSU Heated grips Luggage rack & grab rail Centre stand Drilled chain guard Knee and tank pads Dresser bars Flyscreen Engine case protectors CNC machined front reservoir I've done about 50 miles on it since this picking it up yesterday morning, and to say I love it would be an understatement. The low rumbling engine tone is to die for, and it's such a comfortable and easy bike to ride. I can't believe that 900cc of engine can be so undemanding! Anyway, I shot a few pics on my phone, and I'm about to go for another nice ride on it today. I'm totally smitten.
Great looking bike Tony, sounds like you’ve found the right bike for you, I wish you many safe and happy miles on it. I like the look of the exhausts, sort of Thruxton style, much better than the T100/T120 in my opinion and room to get at the chain adjusters too.

She’s a beauty, Like you I’m new to biking and like you have the same bike, just reached 1100 miles and loving it. Changed tyres for Continental Road Attack 3’s and only today a set of Hagon 2810’s arrived. Too many bits available to buy Ride safe, she will keep you smiling for sure
I trust you will like yours as much as I like mine. I have had mine for 11 months and have done 4,000 miles so far. The bike has run perfectly. Not a single issue. I have a few upgrades that you can see below. Wind screen (touring screen) really helps make the ride effortless. I also have saddle bags, rear rack, tank knee pads, engine badges and some cool side covers. Enjoy your new ride and be safe.

That is a very beautiful motorcycle. I know that feeling of picking up a new ride after spending weeks/months of reading and dreaming. Not had it for almost 20-years though. Enjoy the late summer. Where do you usually ride out to on a sunny weekend? Being in London I'd guess Brighton or Hastings might be a good destination.
Thank you. Yes, they'll be great runs when the weather is nice enough. I'll be riding through the winter, but only when the rain holds off and preferably when the sun's out (thank god for heated grips)

Welcome aboard. IMO the Street Twin is the better of the two bikes anyway. Same engine, lighter frame, quicker turning in. The rest is all cosmetics.
The touring screen actually works quite well. Even at 70-80 MPH do wind pressure to deal with. Very comfortable. I'm 5'9" so it should also work well for you.
