I never did finish posting my NC500 trip report and videos. Anyway, I came across this clip I'd not yet uploaded. It's the single track B852 on the East side of Loch Ness, which is great fun and the quieter road.

@Dougie D it's the one I mentioned as a possible diversion for a Scottish Trip.

That's a possibility Rich, I was thinking we might need to split the group into 2 anyway,so the groups could go different routes and meet up at Fort Augustus?,I've only been down the east side of Loch Ness once, there was some sort of bicycle race going on and there were hundreds of bikes  I was so glad once I reached Fort Augustus,I do prefer going down the A82 as it is a cracking road if it's not too busy, i was also thinking about stopping of at Urquhart Castle for a few photos as there's not many places you can stop to get photos of Loch Ness..i can't remember if you have to pay or not?

The only times I've been on the A82 (twice, so not often) it has been spoiled by too much traffic. When you find a free stretch it is definitely a brilliant ride. I bet it's stunning if you can get out early enough before the cars and lorries. Urquhart Castle, £9 entry. £7.20 for we pensioners. What a cheek for a pile of old bricks ;)

We could always leave Ullapool at 5am;):p on Friday morning then there will be no traffic on the A82:cool:
