Great to hear you can manage this year @Gazwhitespeed ,do you want me to organize hotels for you? or once I've got definite locations for where we are staying overnight i could let you know if you prefer to book your own, word of warning the hotels up there are feckin expensive,i was hoping to book possibly a couple of hotels for the trip most are at least £100.00 a night for a twin room and that's not for what you would call a great hotel,it might be a bit cheaper for a single room? there are some nice B&Bs which would probably work out slightly cheaper..but not much!

 

Dougie D,thanks for the welcome and your memory,i went up in sept and was paying £65 a night and I thought that was expensive[Ireland was half that] so once you know the location of every night I will get busy trying to find somewhere around £60,thanks for your help,gaz.

will do,£65 is actually a bit cheaper than I thought it would be like you say it's still expensive though, I've just been checking prices for twin rooms,the first night we are definitely staying in Tyndrum, me and @andyc1 were there a few weeks ago and stayed here https://www.muthuhotels.com/muthu-royal-hotel/en/index.html we got a good deal on a twin room £32.50 each per night and that included a good breakfast,that might have just been a last minute special price but it,s worth checking out, on the Monday night we are staying at the Corran Bunkhouse there is this place a few minutes from it we had dinner and breakfast there at the last trip http://www.inchree.co.uk/rooms/ might be worth a look? the other nights I'm still working on

We are about 5 miles north of Glencoe village and about 7 miles south of Fort William...just a couple of miles from the Ballachulish bridge.....

Yeah up to Fort William is a brilliant road unfortunately it's usually busy

 

Love that bit - but you're right, often traffic.

 

Because I swim 100 lengths before breakfast to loosen up then run 10k. In the evening I do two hours in the gym.

 

Indeed it was. Very comfortable room, good breakfast and parking round the back for the bike.

Apparently had to be quick, as accomodation on board is filling up already - would have loved to ride up with you guys, but I will join a day later, and return on the friday... previous engagements...
I'm at Soest, so would have worked...
