Mustang Danny is on a long learning curve that will take him to a place where fuzzy wuzzy is not just velcro

And gollywogs are not just on marmalade :kissing:

Oh my bikes fixed. Finally cracked it.:p ....took me most of the day trying different things but in the end the carbs had to come out and full strip to find out what was happening . it was a small peice of rubber floating around in the fuel pipe . The bikeshop must have taken the tank off and when they put it back on they must have twisted the fuel line on to the petcock causing a small peice to come off in the fuel line itself .
Being rubber it was just floating about in the line but causing one of the needles not to close and allow fuel to flood the carb.
I took all the floats and needles off the carbs and blew the fuel line and out it popped. How a small bit of rubber could cause so much hassle goes to show how finicky the old carbs are .
Im so glad its sorted i can now enjoy the rest of my trip in the uk. Next stop is wwenesday is Loomies with the steves. Then Southampton. Seaton in Devon then Cardiff and finally Dave and Jay in Rosewood near the ferry port home .

Gollywog being on marmalade? LEARNING curve? For a Gloria-Wog being on FUEL, I guess the learning curve is more like a hairpin!? :D:p

Wayne, Good news that you’ve got the old girl fixed and can now enjoy the rest of the trip.

One thing I’d do when I got home is renew all of the fuel lines.
It could be that ethanol in petrol has caused the problem over a period of time especially if the fuel pipes are old or even some cheap modern fuel pipe on the market is not ethanol friendly.
Nitrile rubber is your friend :)

This is a Golliwog Daniel - still a legitimate purchase on the Isle of Wight! (My mum bought me this as a laugh)

As a little girl, my mum was a member of the Nignog club in the 1930's. Can't see that catching on today!

Good news Andy - make sure you make the trip to Beilstein this time - it's on the way to Cochem, and we rode past it last week. No cars allowed but it is the gem of the Mosel. Huge slices of cake from the cafe at the top of the hill by the church!

Looking good there. Mines is still mucky. Went to my friendly dealer to order new clutch lever, hand guard and mirror. 110 Euros which is not so bad I suppose. He told me he’s taken a T120 Bonnie in part exchange against a BMW. 2018 and 1800kms. He gave him 11000 Euros. Not a bad deal. Someone else not happy with their Bonnie.

Nikki, yours is an Enduro. It looks good mucky anyway. Especially with the scratches on mirror and engine guard...
Looks like ‚you‘ve been there‘... ;)
    Cheers

Thanks...... Glad that your repairs on the bike are not to painful and that your ankle etc are on the mend.

Not sure about why the T120 owners are unhappy with their bikes, it is a big twin. My speedmaster has the same engine and yes it is a little snatchy in first and second, but once you are running it is awesome.

Great job there Steve ! Want to come and do my Bandit ??
Got pished on big style coming over the moors on the M62 on Saturday. Started spitting in Leeds, raining in Huddersfield and cats and dogs over the moors. Big black dark clouds, it was like riding into hell. :scream::skull::cold_sweat:
