So, had the initial service done yesterday at my dealers (Experience Motorcycles) - just two weeks from when I picked my Street Twin up. Cost was NZ$324 all up (plus the cost of a couple of coffees and a toasted cheese muffin while I waited...)

It has been an absolute pearler of a day today, and I've clocked a few more km (went to buy beer for watching the All Blacks v Pumas tonight), so have now done just over 1000 km.

Yet another good reason not to live north of Bombay. I had my first service on the Thruxton done for free, labour and materials!

Some of us have to do it... :) but at least it's not Hamilton...

Fortunately, I live out in the wops and mostly avoid Auckland like the plague, absolutely hate having to go and do battle with idiot drivers and constant traffic lights.

Same price as for my Speedmaster 1200, just extra for gloves and socks (love the quality of the branded gear, but $$$). Hard to get first service free after you negotiate the purchase price to the bone.

We have a New Zealand suburb of Derby here in the land locked East Midlands.
Sadly it isn't recognised or frequented by the great All Blacks, however it does have it's fair share of idiot drivers and traffic lights in common.

    Well I'll be......
Never knew that and had to google it to see images of the area.
Do people actually live there? And if so, why? ;)
Looks nothing like the New Zealand I live in.....

I know little about the area but do know that in the neighbouring California district of the city is an excellent pub,The Rowditch Inn.
New Zealand and California are near neighbours over here!
