Picked her up this afternoon. She’s just as good as she was when I test rode her (I bought the demo) but unfortunately has the same issues as when I test rode her! The joystick is sticking when pushed up or to the left and it’s squealing at low speeds, I think from the front somewhere. Both items were picked up by my on the test ride and the dealer promised to sort them. Despite these (which I’m sure will get sorted) I’m looking forward to many more adventures. Had a great ride home this evening.
Welcome Andy . I've owned my speed RS since April. Yes my joystick would stick when pulled to the left' I mentioned this to my dealer at the 500 mile service and they sprayed it with some Electrolube. It continued to stick after that for a while, but has now stopped..... The other issue I've had is the rear brake making a low pitched squeal when it gets hot, typically when being used in traffic Neither minor issue has spoilt my enjoyment of the bike, which is, lets face it a proper weapon T
Nice I wanted to get the 2018 model but insurance would have been £2800 Got an 2017 model with insurance at £600 Doesn’t make scene
Ouch that’s ridiculous. Mine was £588 with full eu breakdown cover. Twice what I paid for my 2011 street but not too bad.
Blimey, I thought my £260 for a 2012 R was a bit high! Are they loading the RS because of the keyless ignition?

To be fair I expected that, only 2 years ncb doesn’t help. It’s the same as what a mate with same age and riding as me pays for his s1000r so wasn’t too shocked.
Maybe its because of my age (39) but I've only been riding 2 years and insuring the speed RS and Daytona 675r was only £300. I thought that was a bargain
