My tyre is close to needing replacing. Its a 130/80x17 Metzeler, std Triunph fitment

Was thinking about going to a 150/17x17.

What brand should I go for and will it fit the std 3.5" rear rim, that will then determin the front tyre as well. I am running 110/70x17 fromt again std Metzeler Triumph fitment

Thicker tyres turn slower as I found out.

I want to do the same, this is the closest height to standard rear, and there are a few makes that do standard size front 110/70R17 and wider rear 150/70R17. I'd change the rear when it's worn out and then the front later, or do them both at the same time, just personal preference.

    eg.
    Michelin : Pilot Road2, Pilot Road3
    Bridgestone : T30, BT-023

My last bike had 150/80B16 rear on a 3.5" rim, and my Tiger800 has 110/80R19 & 150/70R19 which is an excellent mix.
