Car park in Langholm, we stopped here for our first regroup after Dumfries IIRC. Not much water in the river today, bit different last time.

Cracking view1. This is near the top of the first climb up that singletrack road.
Go over the hill to find another belter of a view. This wee road is a hidden gem.

More nice views between Langholm and Newcastleton.

Traffic was horrendous. Just as I took this, a german lad on an old 70's honda four thing stopped for a chat. He had been over for two weeks, rode to Land's end, then J'o'groats and then ended up down here before catching a ferry from Newcastle tonight. Had a canvads bag bungeed to the back and a roll of duct tap hanging off the front indicator !!!!

Found a nice wee cafe just south of Carters bar, stopped but it was jumping so rode on to find this place. Mini breakfast and a mug of tea for just over a fiver - top job. That bacon was feckin deliciosso

Usually if I go to kielder, I go down and around then back up to do St Mays loch (the run i took you guys). Great run but fancied a change today so did over the top to Bonchester Bridge then down and around. Stopped there to chat to a bloke about cafe's and then bikes, just got himself a 1200 HD sporster.

Crispey had mentioned how good the road is from Newcastleton to Bonchester Bridge, so took a run over. Never normally use it, forgotten how much fun it is. If we do go back, I'll try my best to get it into a route, means less of a circle (i like circlular rides), but I will try.

Over the single track, bimbled along nicely. When I got to Newcastleton, around Kielder and back, that would definitely come under the 'twat' heading !!:p

Although, when I got home, my top speed was under 100, so was pretty steady. o_O

I’ve been twice and I think I’ve experienced the worst and the best of bellandham, with you lot in crappy weather and on my own in perfect weather and I would even compromise and go again even if it means in crappy weather on my own:joy:
