Certainly looks like the police have caught some scumbags; mind unless they have some evidence on them that they have been up to no good, it is likely that they will walk. Mind the delay on the 999 call is a worry. Wessa
Glad they caught the scumbags, I couldn't believe the callers were put on hold and onto a waiting list when they dialled 999
hopefully the scumbags involved will lose more than 20min of their life. You're a cheerful little camper aint ya!
you must be watching (999 what's your emergency) good programme covers all the services, some of the contents not light viewing by any means but good none the less.
Well Phil, you obviously have no idea of the problems we are facing in this country at the moment with regards to theft using scooters. Concerning the time it took for the police to answer the call, but well done for sending more than enough manpower to arrest these scumbags who stole the scooter at knifepoint in order to commit yet more crimes against society. We really do need to change our laws once we exit the Euro Zone
Or maybe with the compensation they’ll get for their sore backs after being thrown roughly to the ground they will be able to go out and buy their own...... and then have them nicked
Jeez Ken, good to see you haven’t softened on BREXIT! 1 We never have been in the Eurozone 2 How is the EU in any way relevant to this issue? Regards Martin
I think what Ken meant is once we complete the Brexit..... We don't have to go through the lengthy bureaucracy of amending laws. That's how I understood it anyways
We will always have to go about a bureaucracy of amending laws, it’s called Parliament. It is the same now as it has always been, and it won’t change after Brexit unless Corbyn gets power and abolishes Parliament. It has nothing to do with Brexit, and pretending it does is insulting the intelligence (such as it is) of those who voted for it.
Hey Martin.... Sorry.... Seems my understanding on these political matter are pretty much non existence. I see what you mean. I think most people thinks that once we close or better control the borders, the crime will significantly drop. Everyone has their own views on these matters. I personally don't have much knowledge on these matter and hence should have kept my mouth shut. If I came out as insulting anyone's intelligence, please do accept my apologies Martin. My bad
No problem, don’t need to apologise to me. You might be right about what would happen IF we ever close our borders (though personally I doubt it). But it will never happen anyway so we won’t be able to test that. I just get very annoyed when all the ills of the world are (wrongly) blamed on the EU. It isn’t much different to blaming the Jews 70 years ago. Of course the EU has its issues, and it’s behaviour towards us at the moment is pretty bad. But moped thugs in London seems to be a British issue, pure and simple.
