Went around the Cotwolds today. Baring a small accident in a ford(!), it was a great day.

LOL. Yeah. I was going pretty slow but the bike went down (not hard luckily), but snapped the end of the front brake lever and bent the rear one a tad.

I guess next time, the trick is to look for where the car tyre tracks are.. Or find another road :)

Using a printed map rather than GPS is great. The map wasn't fantastically detailed so I ended up using the sun a fair amount, to ensure I was heading in the right direction, but all part of the fun!

    Looks good.

Learned the ford thing years ago on a pushbike, that green stuff is slippier than ice.

In off-roading land rovers etc, your told, when crossing water, if you can't walk it, don't drive it. Same applies with bike really. Done loads of ford's on the KTM, but always best to stop and have a good scout before riding through. So easy to miss a sudden drop or loads of that slimy green shite, especially on the concrete fords that look safe and easy.

At least damage was light, glad no serious damage to you or the bike. At least the sun was out and you would have dried off fairly quickly:p

Yep, just like Ice. I could barely walk on the stuff in my boots. Glad I am not the only one to experience that problem :)

Thanks, some good stuff there! I have ordered a stock lever from Triumph already, but I like the look of some of those covers! I have the Haynes manual arriving tonight, so maybe I will get some covers too.

Very nice! I’d like to go there some time. Where are those locations?
