The local bike shop had a sale on, so I got some Kevlar jeans with integrated knee- and hip pads. I thought at €144 they were a steal, and well suited for this hot weather.
It's partially lined. The impact areas are reinforced. It is also slightly stretchy, which is really comfortable.
Well if you want all day comfort and a pair that’s been well Designed with a single layer so are cool enough for hot days and will last a lifetime as well as having tested slide times and good after sales then you have to be a little silly!!!
The studs on the pockets and fly would put me off those straight away. But they look ok if you’re happy with them
I have a pair of Rohk jeans, partial Kevlar lining and all the pads The Kevlar makes them too warm for me to wear all day They look good and feel great, just a tad warm, maybe in the cooler weather they will be use more
I have the revit Orlando h2o jeans, very comfortable and waterproof, not bulky used at Bellingham. Gmu last year with only s slight bit of ingress at the crutch. It was a wet few days retail around £200 but if you are patient you can find them on offer around the £100 mark. A bargain at that price
I bought a pair of the rokker revolution jeans a couple of years ago and i was really impressed with them as they were really comfy and 100% waterproof plus they claim they wear better than leather jeans in slide tests...apparently, but they have developed a fault,as they are out of guarantee the retailer could only offer me a relacement at cost price, which was pretty decent of them but i declined as i wanted answers and confirmation that they know about this fault and have remedied it.i've had them for just over 2 years (not a lifetime!) and it has started fraying at the knee they gave me the contact details of the wholesaler/importer but i decided it would be better to contact rokker direct, that was a week ago and i've not heard a cheap from them ,i will email them again then phone them if i still don't hear from them ..but i think like you i have been "Silly" and believed all the hype about them
Makes you wonder, if they are that good, why don't you see riders in MotoGP riding in jeans and cut offs
Sorry to hear that, haven’t had revolutions but know the Rokker team are small but seem to care so I would go back to them as reputation is everything! Personally the jeans and jackets I have have covered around 10,000 miles and get better everyday, Id love to see them fray and get patched to add character.
The Revolutions are regular fit (similar to Levis 501) plus they are 100% waterproof..i think yours are slim fit & not waterproof?,I'm still waiting for them to reply to my email that I sent over a week ago,I'll send another one next week. but the fact they have started to fray at the knee is more than disappointing considering what they claim about slide tests.. I've probably covered approx. 25,000 miles over the last couple of years but lets face it sitting on a bike should not wear out the knees! I've got a few pairs of Levis that I've had for years and they haven't started to wear at the knees..i certainly don't want what is supposed to be protective jeans to start wearing anywhere or for them to get patched.. even if it did add Character to them
yeah I've had that too Andy but never on the knees..no flapping going on there! I normally wouldn't bother but the price I paid for the Rokkers i would have thought fraying would have been the last thing that would happen to them
