I have found something a bit special on eBay, ordered it and will collect it Wednesday afternoon An immaculate Speed Triple 2010 in a unique colour scheme, photos will be up when I collect it I have been looking for a 2010 SE for a little while but this came up and I was ready to buy. Soon for sale will be my immaculate 2016 Speed Triple R with many extras at 18,000 miles
It is a Speed Triple 2010 in deep burgundy with central jet black stripe down the centre with gold trim Plenty of carbon accessories but not too much, 11,000 miles. Can't wait to be seen riding her around, she is an eye catcher for sure
well I just bought an RS and quite like it . I had an orange 2010 model before but do find the new one more refined and better than orange ! . Must admit though that I do miss the direct throttle response of the 2010 model, but this new one doesn't try to throw me in a hedge if I get too carried away
Spot on It has the twin underseat chrome Arrows though I thought the paint work was a one off, anyone know if they are a very limited run? I do want to change the exhaust for a pair of carbons just for asthetic reasons, and put a Nitron R3 shock on the back and bump the front springs up to 10nm...should keep me busy Edit: and light up the front using a pair of black projector units
The 2016 is like riding a computer, ride by wire throttle, ABS and traction control just feel like they are getting in the way. The ECU is locked too so cant even clear the service indicator myself Don't get me wrong, it is a fantastic bike, but the 2010 just has more soul
Yes, they're here If you've already got round headlights you've less hassle, but you'll probably still need deeper front rims on the backshells than the stock Triumph ones. The retaining lip on the units must be thicker than stock Triumph units ('cos they're meant for H-D I assume). The project turned into a bit more than I anticipated converting from the Dame Edna's but well pleased with the end result. The DRL halos are good and bright, keeps you well noticeable. Not ridden in the dark yet but dip beam looks good on the garage door, brighter than stock. I'll post a new thread in the next few days with more detail rather than hijack this one.
Agreed ! I suppose its like old air cooled carbed bikes have more soul . I am not selling my RS just yet though... I did consider keeping my old speedie but ended up trading in. Maybe I should have kept it..........
These have just been sent to me from the seller Don't know why it posted this one twice!!! Can't delete it
I recently bought myself an 2010 SP SE because I too prefer the looks over the “new” model. Mine is the red and white version, is yours a factory limited edition colour? It does look sweet.
