Just got back from Dent North Yorkshire with the Triumph cruisers weekend 680 mile and the speedmaster didn't miss a beat .

 

Breakfast at the ponderosa with 2 mates on Street 3 and Explorer, was eating when I'm normally sleeping ...

 

Got back from a long weekend in the New Forest with the missus and the ankle grippers managed to tidy the garage up a bit when I got home as it was starting to get a bit out of control in there again and still having a bit of a think about that TT 600 as it a very tidy bike..... Yeah I can squeeze another one into the garage.... possibly.

Or just buy it get it running right and sell it on again. :wink:

 

Bargain purchase of 2 sets of 6 pot triumph Alcon brakes for Speedy and project bike.
These brakes are awesome.

 

How much then?? you could most probably put them straight on E Bay and make a rather large amount of money I'm guessing.

These were £800 a set new if you wanted to put them on a normal daytona / speed triple when new.

 

Went for my first ride out with the Surrey TOMC on the T595 did about 70 miles around Guildford and Dorking way and almost managed to get lost on the way home.
My wrists are absolutely killing me, I forgot how bad they were.

Seriously thinking of selling it and getting something else that can take things a little easier.

Also got the replacement LED rear light unit for the bike and will have a go at fitting it tomorrow.

 

You too? Got RSI on both of my wrists so I know exactly what you`re talking about... As an option, you could consider buying a set of riser bars like Woodcraft to set the riding position more upright. Drastic rise MAY require longer brake lines etc, my 955i has Woodcrafts with 3" riser bits (counting from zero, not from the original bars) and I didn`t have to change any of the wires/hoses etc.


Also take note how much you can rise the bars without hitting the visor/front cowl on a full lock turn. I don`t have any of the front fairings so don`t have that issue to tackle.

 

Well that is part of it Mattson, the other is that the bike is going to end up loosing my licence as the the dam thing just wants to go fast.

 

Just put together 2 padock stands, one for the single swing arm Speed Triple and one twin sided for the Mr's Street trip. Should make working on the bikes a bit easier.

Have also spent about 6 hours today on the T595 detailing it ready for selling and it looks brilliant



Need to sell the T595 before I can pick up the Sprint Sports though as run out of room in the garage :redface:

Went for a quick thrash round my local twisties (Torpoint, Cornwall), and passed a guy and missus on his 58 street triple, who was kind enough to motion me on by. Best time of the day, late evening, mostly empty roads, shame the outwardly westerly ride is a bit vision impaired.

 

Took my 2012 speed triple r in for a new ohlins rear shock as the original has a bad knocking noise after just 2500 miles, not impressed with that.

 

I don't know these Triumphs with their dodgy Swedish suspension, wouldn't have happened if you went for the normal one :tongue:

Hope they get it sorted soon Clumpy and that they give you something decent to ride in the mean time :upyeah:

 

Finnished prepping the Tiger for the TigerTriple Scotland raid, also installed a custom made throttle lock ( O ring) to give my right wrist some relief as the Speedie has done it in.....
