Hello from Southern California After 56 years of riding, starting on '59 Bonneville, BSA' s, way too many Harleys, I quit riding last year due to health issues. I'm 77years old, and after 3 days without a bike I thought I'd try 3whls and bought a Can Am Spyder. Could not get used to it sold it yesterday and started looking at the Triumphs again. Love the T100 but don't know if I'd be better off with the T120 for 2 up riding. No long trips planned. Just local roads and hills, but occasional short trips on the freeway In other words... I'm confused. But either way I'm happy to be on the forum .
Welcome aboard and all the best with finding your next Triumph, hope I'm lucky enough to be able to still ride at your age, hats off to you.
Thank you.. I'm going to test ride them tomorrow, unless It's over 100 degrees again. I was thinking that all my old 650's were more than capable of what I want to do today , so why wouldn't a 900 cc do at least as well? Granted, I was about 50lbs lighter .......
Hi Canine and welcome! Great to hear you are looking at getting back into it ! I recently bought a T100 17 plate, great motorcycle so far, very light on fuel and handles good. My opinion would be for two up riding to rather consider the T120. I gather it has way more steam than the T100. Go for the test drives, I'm sure you'll agree after riding the T100. All the best with your choice either way.
As Ade says, take the pillion with you so they can ok the ride, then when they start yackering in your ear about any lack of comfort you’ll have a clear conscience!

Welcome aboard Canine. The T100 and T120 use the same frame, though the rear shocks are slightly longer on the T100 making the smaller engine bike a few mm taller.
Welcome in and as the others are saying test rides are your best option. Just check the dealer allows test rides two up. Can’t see why not but you never know. If they don’t try to find one that does.
