I’m guessing that those traveling from the North and North West will most likely take a route via North Wales and travel down the centre of Wales. Those travelling from the South, South West and South East may choose to cross the Severn at Bristol/Chepstow and take a route up the centre of Wales. However, for those traveling from the Midlands, N East or East Coast your route is likely to take you via the M40 to Worcestershire where Ade and I live. So if you would like to meet up and form a group ride to Llanidloes then I am more than happy to organise a route. It takes around 2 hrs to get to Llanidloes from where we are located and I was aiming to get there around mid afternoon. So would look to leave at around 12:00/13:00 ish. So if anyone would like to meet up, then please message me and let me know if my proposed set off time suites as I’m quite flexible. Earlier or later not a problem.
Cracking film - but say it quietly, the regiment was actually the 24th Foot Warwickshire (only became Welsh in the 1881 army reforms) and before Rourkes Drift had recruited mainly around London, so they should have been singing the regimental song Warwickshire Lad or Lad I was at uni with and captained our rugby team was great grandson of Private Hitch who was awarded the VC.
I'm on a bit of a diet atm. Lots of vegetable soup. Blimey, talk about vegetarians in action. That said, I'm not shedding much weight. I'm thinking maybe the increased craving for IPA has a countervailing effect.
Im leaving Glasgow in the morning of the 12/7/18 to travel to Llanidloes, if any ones heading down then, and wants to meet up, Im not to sure of route as yet. Its 5.5 hours down the M6 and then A483 ( so the short way) so not much room for sight seeing.
I like the sound of that. With your sat nav and pipes, I can follow you and we wont get lost. Excellent plan.Ill message you nearer the time and take it from there?
Yeah I like a bit of motorway, only, cos I have a concert in Glasgow the night before, its going to be more than a bit.
