Neutral light stuck on

    Hi just done chain and sprockets on my Legend 2000 plate , put new gasket on put back casing , no leaks but neutral light is stuck on and can not find all gears , now feeling a bit pi88ed of can any one help Thanks Clive.:mad:

    The neutral light switch is quite near to the front sprocket, Electrically it simply switches a cable to ground to bring on the light. You have trapped or damaged this cable giving it a permanent ground. loosen the case and see if it goes off or flashes, remove the case and check the cable.

    Thanks for your help Martin , any ideas why I am not finding all the gears also ?

    If all you have done is to change the chain and sprockets I can only think you have something fouling the gear change shaft. As this is also near the neutral switch then I wonder if it is somehow the neutral wire that is jammed onto the gear change shaft... you're going to have to take that cover off again, it'll be obvious once you do..

    Took cover off today and yes wire was trapped as you said , also gear problem has now gone Many Thanks Martin . ::smile:
