Rs Vibration.

Is anybody suffering from a vribation at 6k rpm? I only noticed it yesterday. I've done 800 miles, its not bad but I can't see anything in the mirrors...

 

Mine does vibrate a bit just reached 900 ish today... It's more noticeable when decelerating I thought maybe the engine wearing in. Been out all day today up and down the box at revs up to 8k . No physical probs from vibes so hopefully nothing to be concerned about....

 

Thanks Richard, I'm sure it's normal but just wanted peace of mind.

 

Does it happen at a standstill in neutral?
Just trying to eliminate other possible causes such as wheel balancing causing the vibration at a certain speed.

It does it stood still in neutral!

 

I guess having mirrors as bar end weights doesn't help though I have a bar end mirror on my last speedie and don't recall the vibrating image...

 

Mine buzzes a bit at 5.5k rpm. I'm sure it's normal, don't worry.

 

You could check all the engine mounting bolts are tight, you never know, other than that just don’t keep it at 6k rpm but pass through quickly on the way to the red bit

 

Hi any update on this ? I was "making good progress' up near the red bit up and diwn the gears today and the vibes seem to increase as you go from around 7k up ... After a hectic run on deserted Welsh roads my hands felt buzzy when off the bike.

 

I will reply to my own question ... I went to my dealer today and borrowed their demo bike.. it was exactly the same vibration as mine... Did about 250 miles today and survived ! So will just put up with it and assume its normal

 

I have the same vibration on mine.
